As Chief Information Officer, Charles leads Boom’s IT initiatives and strategy. With more than 30 years of technology leadership experience, Charles has a history of successfully scaling IT systems to support company growth from little or no revenue to billions in revenue.

Prior to joining Boom, Charles served as Global Head of Technology and Security at Indeed. In his 10-year career with the company, he scaled the technology team from six to more than 600, building global technology divisions from the ground up. These included global infrastructure and engineering, information security, bot detection and elimination, help desk operations, business intelligence, compliance, and application development. His efforts supported Indeed’s rapid growth from 200 to 12,000+ employees, from millions to billions in revenue. With Charles’ oversight, his teams built and managed multiple global data centers that served nearly 300 million unique end users each month.

Charles was awarded the IT Executive of the Year Award in 2016 by the Society for Information Management Austin chapter. He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University, where he paid his way through by doing IT work, eventually founding his first technology business in 1995. Outside of work, Charles enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, sailing with family and friends, and restoring and maintaining classic cars.
