As CEO & Founder of Cumulus Technologies, a "Drone" technology company, Michael
has become one of the top experts in the areas of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and
their integration on the land, in the air and at sea, as well as helping NASA and the FAA
develop Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) protocols for our National Airspace
(NAS).
An FAA Part 107 Pilot accumulating over 1980 hours of flight time, within 4000 incident-
free missions as Pilot-in-Command, Michael has earned certifications from FEMA, OSHA,
NIST and has achieved the highest level of UAS safety certifications, Pro Level III, from
the Unmanned Safety Institute (USI).
Serving as a consultant to business & civic leaders, first responders, legislators, and
organizations on how to use this innovative technology in their respective industries, he
has helped many companies in utilizing Drones and Ai to create safer, more efficient
working environments.
His volunteer work as Chairperson for the North Central Texas Council of Governments
UAS Taskforce Legislative & Policy Committee, as well as a member of the Texas UAM /
AAM Committee in engaging politicians, government officials, and large businesses, in
developing new AAM policies and procedures, are helping change how drones are used
in Texas.
As the Director of Unmanned Operations for the Texas Wing of the Civil Air Patrol,
Michael has become a certified Search & Rescue drone pilot volunteering his skills as
needed for missions throughout the United States.
As the Training Officer for the North Texas Unmanned Public Safety Response Team
(NTXPSURT). He volunteers his expertise to help police, fire depts, and emergency
management teams on any number of tasks from flight trainings to program
development.
